Bookings, functions and vouchers without the phone tag.
For hotels, pubs, restaurants, caterers and event venues of 5 to 50 people where weddings, functions, group tables and gift vouchers are handled by phone, email and a form that someone has to answer. Fixed price, no per-user fees, and the code and hosting sit in your own accounts.

What goes wrong today
We read the public websites of 11 Scottish hospitality businesses in October 2026 (hotels, bars, caterers and event firms across Tayside, Fife and beyond) to see how a customer books. Patterns below come from their sites, not from talking to them.
Table booking that needs a reply
A booking form with date, time and party size but no live availability, so every booking waits for a human to confirm it, and the customer is told to check their junk folder.
Functions and weddings by phone and form
Weddings, wakes, conferences and private functions each have their own page and route into a phone call or an email, so dates, rooms, numbers and menus live in an inbox.
Deposits and gift vouchers taken by hand
Large-party deposits, gift vouchers and redemption handled over the phone or by email, which means card details by phone and a paper trail that is hard to reconcile.
Several properties, several inboxes
One owner with a hotel, a guest house and a function house had three email addresses and no single availability view.
Catering quotes built from scratch
Event caterers turn each enquiry (guest count, menu, staffing, venue travel) into a hand-built quote with a two-working-day reply.
What we would build
Every job starts from how your firm really works, found out in discovery. These are the building blocks we would expect to use.
Function and wedding enquiry to quote
One form that captures date, room, numbers, menu and budget, tracks each enquiry through quote, viewing, deposit and confirmation, and reminds you to follow up.
Booking with live availability and deposits
Tables, afternoon teas or function slots with capacity, an optional card deposit, and confirmation and reminder messages.
Gift vouchers and pre-orders
Sell vouchers online, check and redeem them at the till, and take pre-orders for larger parties by menu choice.
One screen for the day
Today's bookings, covers, dietary notes and function run sheets on one page for the front of house and the kitchen.
We build on mainstream, well-documented tools and connect what you already pay for (accounts, email, payments, your website) so nobody types the same thing twice. If a standard booking or till tool (Square, ResDiary, Dojo and similar) already handles your tables and vouchers, use it and we will tell you so on the call.
What we have and have not built
Our one live system today is for a Dundee landscaping firm, not for a hospitality business. We have not yet built for a hospitality business, and we will not pretend otherwise. What carries over is the shape of the work: enquiries, a calendar, a list for the day and reminders. The first discovery is where we check that your case fits.
The package that fits
Fixed quotes, confirmed in writing before you commit. No per-user fees. A 15-minute call is free.

| Business hub 4 to 6 weeks | Bookings, functions, vouchers and pre-orders joined up across the restaurant, rooms and events, with a daily run sheet and one view across properties. For businesses with several revenue lines and several inboxes. Paid in stages against milestones, with 90 days of free fixes after go-live. | from £5,950 subject to written terms |
| Discovery | Written plan and fixed quote, yours to keep. Credited to the build if you accept within 12 months. Refunded in full if you tell us within 30 days of receiving the quote that you would not act on it (conditions apply). | £500 |

Care+ at £249 a month adds up to 2 hours of changes a month, a quarterly review and priority in our queue (not a guaranteed response time). Optional; you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. | £99 a month Care+ £249 a month |
Conditions apply to every refund or fix promise on this page. The clock pauses while we are waiting for something from you, and you have to claim within set windows. The conditions are in our written order terms (Scots law, for business customers only), which come with every quote; ask for a copy at any time. If this page differs from the terms, the terms win. Fix One Thing is paid half to book and half when it is ready; larger projects are paid in stages set out in the quote. Not VAT registered, so these prices are what you pay. Hosting and third-party fees are quoted up front.
If an accountant or bookkeeper introduced you, we may pay them 10% of the build price after you have paid in full. You do not pay it, your price is the same, and the quote names the introducer and the fee before you accept.
Questions people ask first
What does it cost?
Three sizes, all fixed price for the scope written in the quote: Fix One Thing, one narrow job, at £950; a single-job tool from £2,950; and a connected business hub from £5,950, subject to written terms. Before any of those, a 15-minute call is free, and a £500 discovery gives you a written plan and a fixed quote. The £500 is credited to the build if you accept within 12 months, and if the quote is not one you would act on, tell us within 30 days of receiving it and we refund the £500 in full (once per business). There are no per-user fees. Hosting and third-party charges (email sending, payments, a domain) are paid by you or passed on at cost, and the quote lists them. We are not VAT registered, so the figure you see is the figure you pay. Conditions apply to every refund or fix promise: the clock pauses while we wait for you, and you must claim within set windows. They are set out in our written order terms, which come with every quote and which win over this page; ask us for a copy at any time.
Who owns the software, the code and the hosting?
The code repository, the hosting account and the domain are set up in your own accounts from day one, with us added as a user, so nothing sits on our side that you cannot see or reach, and we never lock you out over a dispute. When you have paid in full, and any refund window has ended, we assign you the rights we own in the custom code we wrote for you (clause 9 of our written order terms), with a signed assignation sent to you afterwards. We keep our own reusable components and licence them to you, and open-source parts keep their own licences. We build with AI coding assistants, and we do not promise that copyright exists in code an AI wrote. The terms set this out.
What if you disappear, or stop answering?
We are one person, so we plan for that instead of promising it will not happen. Because the repository, hosting and domain are in your accounts, any competent developer can take over without asking us. Every build comes with a plain-English handover document (what it does, where it lives, how to restore it) kept in your repository, and a Business hub also gets a recorded walkthrough. We use mainstream, widely known tools rather than anything exotic. If Liam cannot continue, the written terms say you get everything in your accounts and a refund for work not yet delivered. We do not yet have a named backup developer. The optional care plan keeps backup checks and monitoring running, and you can end it with 30 days' notice.
What about data protection and privacy?
Your customer data stays in your own accounts. Where we handle personal data for you (for example on a care plan), you are the controller and we are your processor, under a written data-processing addendum. We build with AI coding assistants. We aim to build and test with made-up data and to keep your customers' and patients' records, passwords and secrets away from them, but we cannot promise that nothing personal is ever included, because the content you give us can contain names and contact details. If we find personal data has reached an AI tool, we tell you. If a fault can only be diagnosed with real data, we ask you in writing first. Only the people you choose can see your data, and we ask for the minimum access we need to do the work.
Do you have professional indemnity insurance?
Not at present. We say so on the page and in the terms rather than leave you to find out. If you need a supplier with that cover, tell us in writing before you accept a quote. If we cannot get it on reasonable terms, you can withdraw before work starts and we refund anything you have paid.
Is a ready-made app better for me?
Sometimes. If a standard booking or till tool (Square, ResDiary, Dojo and similar) already handles your tables and vouchers, If it does what you need, use it: it will cost less and we will say so on the call. We are worth a call when your process has a twist that those tools handle badly, or when you would rather pay once than per user per month for ever.
Can it take card payments for deposits?
Yes, through a payment provider you already hold or open in your own name (Stripe or the one your till uses). The money goes straight to your account. We never hold your takings, and you pay the provider's fees directly.
Who you would be dealing with
TurboKast Studio is run by Liam Humphreys, in Dundee. We build with AI coding assistants, directed by Liam and checked by automated tests on every change, which is how we can quote fixed prices below typical agency rates. You deal with one person, not an account manager, and the terms say what happens if Liam cannot continue (we do not yet have a named backup developer).
